all weekend on our Festival's Sunshine Stage.
The morning will kick off with some of our best local youth bands followed by a diverse range of musical talent who share a passion for the ocean. The line-up includes local legend Declan Kelly, Indie band Citizens of the World, Bondi Soul Drummers, E

DJ FASMWA, one of Australia's premier Caribbean DJs, collaborates with the Free It Up Dance group to deliver a performance that showcases the essence of Caribbean music and carnival culture and offers audiences a blend of vibrant Caribbean music and dance, reflecting the spirit and excitement of Caribbean carnivals. Providing a unique, fun experience that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean through music and dance and invites audiences to participate and enjoy the rhythms and movements that define carnival celebrations.

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Tio is a singer/songwriter from Ambrym island in Vanuatu who grew up immersed in traditional practices, customs and stories. His first interest in music was born from his early encounters with the traditional ‘tam tam’ (a wooden slit-drum) and songs in his language, Daakaka.
Whilst living in Port Vila, Tio was involved with many artists in local music scene including local reggae and roots groups, Koncerners and Dropvcull. He has also collaborated with a broad range of artists from across the Pacific, Australia, Africa and Europe including members of Airileke, Blue King Brown, Kalja Riddim Klan, Simangavole, Kaumaakonga, Impossible Odds, Hermann Hartel, Natano Pasifika, Rize of the Morning Star, Tabura and Black Rose.

Music runs through Declan Kelly’s blood. It’s been a part of him since the very beginning. With an Irish father and a Maori mother, herself a talented musician, he was encouraged to learn the drums and guitar at a young age. He’s aligned himself with some of the greatest Australian musicians we’ve seen, plying his trade with The Beefs with Alex Lloyd and The Bondi Cigars, before releasing his debut album ‘Tales From The Neighbourhood' in 2005 with support from the late great Andy Glitre

With great success in her song writing, Elaskia’s debut single ‘Calling out My Name’ was featured in the hit American TV broadcast and worldwide Netflix series ‘Dynasty’ as well as 'Marvel's Runaways'. Elaskia’s follow up singles ‘I Will Do Anything’, 'Can't Help Loving You' and 'Love is' have also landed in episodes on one of Australia's most successful media exports ‘Home and Away’with the most recent song/episode airing on the 28th of November 2022.

CITIZEN OF THE WORLD

Aptly-named, Citizen Of The World have developed a sound that finds itself untethered and free. Formed by singer-songwriter Gerrit Gmel in his hometown of Lausanne, Switzerland, the now five-piece band are based in the frontman's adopted home of Sydney. The new formation brings sax, guitar, keyboard, drums and bass together to take you on a journey from soulful acoustic melodies to foot thumping beats best described by one music blog Timber and Steel as “infectious and incredibly danceable.”
