MARINA DEBRIS TRASHION PARADES
SUNDAY MARCH 19th, 1pm & 2:30pm
BONDI PAVILION COURTYARD - FESTIVAL HUB
The sadly typical human response to washed-up trash lying on the beach is to ignore it. But you can't turn away when it gets up and walks. For over 10 years Marina DeBris has been devoting herself to putting marine pollution in the public's collective face by fashioning selected bits into wearable art -- trashion. This ongoing project is called "Beach Couture: A Haute Mess." It's making fashion statements into bold declarations. It's advocacy as entertainment!
See the parades at 1pm and 2.30pm on Sunday March 19th at the Bondi Pavilion Courtyard.
