Future You is a program that challenges stereotypes around who belongs in STEM, using relatable role models from diverse backgrounds. At the stall, families can engage in free, hands-on STEM and craft activities inspired by the work of Dr Phoebe Meagher, a marine biologist and wildlife conservationist passionate about shark conservation and ocean health.
 
Through playful learning and conversation, the experience highlights the wide range of STEM skills and careers needed to protect and restore our oceans, encouraging curiosity, confidence and inclusion for future generations.

WILDCARD-SUE

Wild Card Sue is an Australian wildlife illustrator and educator specializing in marine life. Her detailed illustrations celebrate ocean animals, including Grey Nurse Sharks and White’s Seahorses, while raising awareness for the protection of vulnerable species on land, sea, and in the sky.

TURKISH GOZLEME

​Turkish Gozleme serves freshly made gozleme cooked onsite, using simple, wholesome ingredients. The menu includes vegetarian favourites like Spinach & Cheese and Spinach, Mushroom & Cheese, as well as vegan options made with seasonal vegetables. Each gozleme is made to order, offering a warm, nourishing meal inspired by traditional Turkish street food.

JDesigns creates solid sterling silver jewellery set with natural gemstones, inspired by nature and the ocean. United Nations Association of Australia (NSW) promotes the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on Goal 14: Life Below Water. Through educational resources and interactive engagement, the stall raises awareness around marine conservation, ocean pollution and collective action for a healthier ocean.

MINUS ART is a Sydney-based gallery and a unique platform where art enthusiasts can discover meticulously handpicked fine art prints crafted by talented emerging artists from around the world. Our ocean collection is very popular and we love the ocean! We also participated last year.

CUT THE CREPES

Cut the Crepes brings a taste of the French coast to the festival, serving crepes inspired by seaside traditions from Hossegor in southwest France. Rooted in surf culture and ocean memories, the stall offers warm, comforting flavours designed to be shared after a day by the sea.

AUSTRALIAN MARINE PARKS

Australian Marine Parks are managed by Parks Australia and protect 60 marine parks across the country, covering 43% of Australian waters. Together with other protected areas, they form one of the largest marine park networks in the world. Visit the stall to learn more about Australia’s marine parks and pick up free information and eco-friendly giveaways, including tote bags, bamboo cutlery, stickers and more.

Widden Brook Farm produces Elderflower Mist Sparkling, a naturally fermented beverage made from organic ingredients and wild yeasts. Rooted in regenerative agriculture, the brand celebrates biodiversity, clean water and sustainable, chemical-free production.

"Shark in a Bus is a mobile heritage marine collection featuring “Frankie,” a 5m great white shark. Traveling Australia in a 1957 Leyland bus, the stall educates visitors about sharks and inspires ocean conservation through an interactive museum experience.
