ISSUE 12 - 2022
That’s a wrap on our 2022 Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival, after COVID and weather delays we were finally able to hold our festival in Bondi and what a beautiful weekend it was! The sun came out and we were blessed with a weekend full of sharing great ideas, art + music and action for the ocean. A huge thank you to all our sponsors, partners and friends and volunteers who helped make the festival happen and thanks to everyone who came down to Bondi, spoke to a scientist, walked around our markets and art, enjoyed the music and helped us share hope and love for the ocean.

You can dodge the rain showers and get wet in Icebergs Pool with our Crayweed Forest and Living Seawall tile installations. Head to the website to check the program all day Saturday and Sunday.

Our new look website is now live. Please dive in for the full program and all the festival offers including great food and beverages from our many partners in Bondi. And if you can stay around Saturday night for the outdoor film screening Girls Can’t Surf, we will kick off the fundraising campaign for a Pauline Menzcer statue in Bondi with a donation from the Festival and our partner The Hidden Sea Wine. Pauline remains Bondi’s only world champion surfer – very worthy of a bit of bronze and she will there in person.
